U subotu 28. avgusta od 11h KROKODIL-ov Debatni program biće otvoren predstavljanjem projekta Objedinjujuća snaga različitosti: evropska književnost kroz vreme, žanrove i jezike izdavačke kuće IPC Media. Pisci Marćin Viha i Darko Tuševljaković, čija se dela prevode u okviru ovog projekta, kao i publicista, prevodilac i pisac Migel Roan, dotaćiće se dijahronog sagledavanja raznolikosti evropskih jezika i žanrovske razuđenosti evropskih književnih tradicija, kao i doprinosa srpske i regionalne književne scene polifoniji i polimorfiji evropskih literarnih glasova.
Nakon ovog programa, sledi debata Borders vs. Frontiers u kojoj će, pored poljskog pisca, ilustratora i dizajnera Marćina Vihe, učestvovati i bosansko-hercegovački pisac Elvedin Nezirović, a razgovor će moderirati novinarka Ljubica Gojgić.
FRONTIERS.

On Saturday, August 28th at 11 am, KROKODIL’s Debate Program will open with the presentation of the project Uniting the Power of Diversity: European Literature through Time, Genres and Languages of the publishing house IPC Media. Writers Marćin Viha and Darko Tuševljaković, whose works are being translated within this project, as well as publicist, translator and writer Miguel Roan, will touch on a diachronic view of the diversity of European languages and genre diversity of European literary traditions, as well as the contribution of Serbian and regional literature to polyphony and polymorphism of European literary voices.
This program is followed by the debate Borders vs. Frontiers, in which, in addition to the Polish writer, illustrator and designer Marćin Viha, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian writer Elvedin Nezirović will also participate, and the conversation will be moderated by journalist Ljubica Gojgić.
A regional panel discussion within the Better Together project will be held on Sunday, August 29th at noon, bringing together a large number of representatives of NGOs from the Western Balkans (Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Northern Macedonia and Kosovo) and the European Union (Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Romania) in the discussion on the way in which state institutions responded to the pandemic in relation to the non-governmental sector, and especially in relation to organizations in the field of culture and creative industries. The negotiating skills and capacities of these organizations in extraordinary circumstances will also be discussed.
The thirteenth edition of the KROKODIL literary festival this year is held under the symbolic name BORDERS VS. FRONTIERS. In the specific atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic, the KROKODIL festival puts into a dialectical relationship those borders that hold us back and keep us in place (Borders) with those that we manage to reach and that are there to constantly move (Frontiers).
