Statement of the Center for Cultural Decontamination
On the passing of Borka Pavićević, the founder and director of the Center for Cultural Decontamination (CZKD), the CZKD collective expresses our gratitude for the many letters of condolences and messages of support and concern. The loss of Borka Pavićević is deeply felt in the region as a whole and in CZKD, where her untiring energy and creative spirit imbued every action over the past 25 years, with grace, passion and compassion. As we approach the 25th anniversary of CZKD with new ideas and activities in the making, we will strive to maintain continuity and the mission of the institution.
We hereby inform the public that, in accordance with the decision by the Steering Committee of the Center for Cultural Decontamination on July 10 2019, at the proposal of the CZKD collective, the theatre director and anthropologist Ana Miljanić, co-founder of the Center and its long-time executive director, has been appointed the new director of the Center for Cultural Decontamination.
We invite everyone who has collaborated with CZKD, and those who wish to do so, to join us in our further work and in marking the 25th anniversary of our joint endeavor.
